Travis Brooks
Travis Brooks was destined to be a country singer and
songwriter. His mother, Patricia Joyce Brooks, is a country
singer and his father, Tim Wayne Brooks, plays guitar.
Travis' personality is larger than life and is perfectly
reflected in his songs. His music can best be described as
traditional country folk. He is greatly influenced by Marty
Robbins, Hank Williams, Pantera, Slim Whitman, and
Johnny Cash. He has grown up and lives in Tuolumne and
Calaveras Counties, respectively. Of his music Travis has
said, "Everyday I breathe is great, life is hard ... I like to
make people laugh. I like to play shows, I love it."
Travis has recently released his debut EP Juice Junkie
Blues. It is a fantastic six song EP which showcases his
skills as musician and songwri ter. His lyrics are honest and
the instrumentation is sentimental. Ben Chisholm's
production makes Travis' songs even more captivating.
