Samuelroy
Samuelroy is the moniker of Samuel Kehl who once DJed under the name 'Elroy'. He is a singer, songwriter, producer who has rebelled against his early classical training. Influenced in his teens by drumnbass, Sam became
involved with DJing in Seattle, spent some time in NYC, became intrigued with Karaoke, and was inspired by bands like The Blow, The Postal Service, Mum, Hood and other indie-electronic fusions. In 2004 he made the transition into writing and recording his own vocal tracks. There have been many different incarnations of his sound, but he has mainly focused on the poppier, more fun variations of the project he calls Samuelroy. He dances on stage, he sings, he plays percussion instruments and he greatly encourages others to join in the fun.
