Jonathan Sarenana
Jonathan Sarenana is a talented young songwriter currently based in Portland, Oregon. Jonathan blends beautiful acoustic guitar with sincere, heart-felt lyrics,best described as modern indie folk... His sound is classic with a modern twist. He gives the feeling of Bob Dylan meets Wilco while sounding like no one but himself. Jonathan began his musical journey at the age of 14, with a cheap classical guitar and the ambition to make music. At the age of 16, he relocated to the Central Valley in Modesto, California. Here he truly began to develop as an artist and gained exposure by taking center stage at countless art galleries and cafe's.
Jonathan's first demo, "It's Impossible," was recorded in 2007 followed by another EP, "Wishing Well Heart". He also released a 3 way split on vinyl with fellow artists from the Central Valley. All of this has led up to his debut full length album, "Bittersweet," on Ascension Recordings and Publications. Jonathan is now booking shows in support of this release.
